Steinski, Steven Stein de son vrai nom, est le Woody Allen du hip hop américain. Le créateur avec Double D des mythiques The Lessons pour le label Tommy Boy dans les années 80 se passionne pour le vieux jazz. Une époque où les orchestres jouaient pour des salles bondées de danseurs sous adrénaline. Délaissant ses collages funk ou hip hop, celui qui est une référence pour les DJ Shadow et autres Cut Chemists prend la machine à remonter le temps. Et le pire, c’est qu’on le suit !
